Literature Text

"Bla-aine!" Kurt yelled, jogging after the boy who was strutting far too fast towards his big, expensive car that would be his escape from Kurt.
"Stop walking! Avoiding me won't fix anything!" he nearly shrieked. Blaine whipped around, hand on his hip. It was done in a way that reminded Kurt strongly of… Himself.
"And what exactly do we need to fix, Kurt?" Blaine said. He wasn't even bothering to hide the annoyance him his voice.
"I texted you about a million times last night. And you ignored every single one of them. Blaine Anderson, you are not one to ignore texts, and I know this has to do with all our coffee shop drama."
Blaine sighed and rolled his eyes. "I've been avoiding you because I don't really like the way you treated me when I was seriously confused. I thought you were different." Blaine said. Kurt remarked on how the last sentence wasn't said in the slow, sappy, remorseful way it was said in movies. He spat it and it hit Kurt in the face like a brick.
Kurt hadn't even opened his mouth to retaliate when Blaine was off again.
"What if I did really like girls? Would you have stopped talking to me? Would you have been the one ignoring my texts, Kurt? Some people get confused, y'know? And I was there for you when you were getting your life threatened, and you can't be there for me when I think I might like one of your friends? I know, I know I'm gay now, but there are so many different ways that could have turned out. And you're the only real ray of sunshine this conformist school has had in years. What would I have done if you just disappeared?" he finished, breathing hard. Blaine seemed to have not really heard what he had said, and Kurt wasn't sure if he was blushing because he was arguing or because he just admitted to needing Kurt. As a friend?
Sparks were flying as they stared into each others eyes. Blaine didn't look as livid as his words sounded, but Kurt could see he was really beating himself up over this. He sighed, suddenly faced with the task of having to be the comforter instead of the comforted, the exact opposite of what he usually was when it came to Blaine. He tried his best to overcome his urge to always be right, or just witty even, for the moment.
"Listen, Blaine," he said, walking over to him and gently putting his hand on Blaine's shoulder. This caused no reaction further than a quick flick of Blaine's eyes up to Kurt's face. "I guess…" he said. Kurt swallowed his pride whole. "I was jealous of Rachel. Did I ever tell you the story about Quinn's pregnancy?" Blaine looked up at Kurt again and shook his head.
"Ok, then have I got a story for you…"
He spent the next fifteen minutes telling Blaine about how when everyone believed Finn to be the father of Quinn's baby, Rachel and Kurt were both desperate for his affection, but Rachel always had the upper hand because of her gender. And when the news was revealed that Puck was really the father, it was like a wild free-for-all for Finn's heart. Rachel got it of course, and Kurt had recovered from his crush before they became brothers.
"…I hope you understand that I just didn't want to loose to Rachel again." Kurt said, blushing. "Because I li- um, I love you, Blaine."
It was Kurt's turn to look down. Blaine chanced a glance at the younger boy's half hidden face.
"Last time I checked, you just liked me." Blaine said feebly. He had no aggressive tones in his voice, it was kind of blank. Empty. Then he finally sighed and looked at Kurt.
"So, it was just because it was Rachel? I could have made out Lauren Ziezes and you wouldn't have cared?" Blaine asked. Kurt raised an eyebrow.
"Well, it still would have bothered me. Not as much though." he said. Blaine could tell he was honest even though Kurt had a slightly sarcastic tone.
"In all honesty Kurt, I think that's a little irrational. But… I understand. I mean, I've never gone though it, but it sounds bad." Blaine said. There was a little pause before he said. "So the next time I get drunk, I'll just have to make sure I'm closer to Lauren, eh?" he leaned into Kurt a little, nudging him slightly with his old grin back on his face. Kurt chuckled gently and looked up from his shoes and at Blaine's face.
"I'm sorry for not supporting you." he said softly. Blaine took his hand, just the way he had the first time they met.
"I'm really sorry for being a royal douchebag these past few days." he said. Though his word choice was less than satisfactory for Kurt, but his tone made up for it. He really was apologizing. There was a little silence before Blaine spoke again.
"I'm going to take a little drive to sort things out in my head…" he looked up at Kurt, who nodded at him.
"When I told you I cared about you in the coffee shop, I wasn't lying. You mean a lot to me, Kurt." he said. Blaine hesitated slightly before kissing Kurt gently on the cheek. "Now go back inside, ok? It's cold out."
So, this will hopefully happen and everything will be awesome. Takes place after BOTA, and Blaine is being an overdramatic looser XD I want to see that happen...
Anyway, enjoy~
